Pindito Liveaboard Indonesia Special – Take up to 10% off new bookings
The Pindito is a distinguished liveaboard vessel offering unparalleled diving adventures throughout Indonesia’s most spectacular marine regions. Launched in 1992 by Swiss adventurer Edi Frommenwiler, the Pindito holds the honor of being Indonesia’s longest continuously operating liveaboard, pioneering routes through Raja Ampat, Komodo, the Banda Sea, and beyond. Built in the traditional style of an Indonesian Phinisi, the 142-foot (43-meter) vessel accommodates just 16 guests across eight cozy cabins, each equipped with ensuite bathrooms, hot showers, individual air conditioning, and daily housekeeping. A professional crew of over 20 staff members—many of whom have served aboard for decades—ensure attentive service and smooth operations.
Diving is at the heart of the Pindito experience, offering up to four dives daily, including thrilling night dives, with free Nitrox (32%) for certified divers. Guests benefit from easy dive access via three active Zodiacs and a standby, and underwater photographers will appreciate the well-equipped camera room complete with workstations, rinse tanks, and both 110V and 220V charging options. Beyond diving, the Pindito offers snorkeling, paddleboarding, whale and bird watching, cultural excursions, and even water sports like wakeboarding and water skiing.
Between dives, guests can relax in the air-conditioned salon, dine alfresco on the shaded aft deck, or lounge on the expansive sundeck. Meals feature a delicious blend of fresh international and Indonesian cuisine, served family-style with plenty of snacks and two breakfasts daily. Safety is paramount, with the vessel outfitted with radar, GPS, satellite communications, multiple life rafts, diver oxygen systems, and E.P.I.R.B. devices for emergency situations.
The Pindito’s itineraries are as diverse as Indonesia’s underwater landscapes, visiting iconic destinations like Raja Ampat, Komodo, Alor, the Banda Sea, Halmahera, Triton Bay, and East Flores. Specialized cruises focus on whale encounters, macro life, and overall marine biodiversity, catering to divers of varying interests and experience levels. Guests consistently praise the Pindito for its expert crew, exceptional service, remote dive sites, and warm, family-like atmosphere—many returning for repeat voyages year after year.
