The Jungle Gorilla Lodge overlooks the primeval Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, offering stunning views of the forest canopy across a serene stream. Bwindi Lodge is one of Africa’s most unique lodges, featuring dramatic vistas of the impenetrable forest—an ideal spot to spot monkeys and birds hidden within the foliage.
In 2021, two new deluxe bandas were opened, the standard bandas were rebuilt and upgraded, and the lounge and library were reimagined. The award-winning Bwindi Bar, located on the high street of the nearby village, is the most stylish and colorful bar in the area. Guests can enjoy informal tapas-style meals inspired by Ugandan dishes. It’s often referred to as the “Harry’s Bar of Bwindi.” Visitors can make their own ‘rolex’ wraps and indulge in the delicious Gorillini Cocktail, a must-have after a day of gorilla tracking in Bwindi!
The bar was established by the Volcanoes Safaris Partnership Trust to train disadvantaged local youth in hospitality, further contributing to the community.
