Oranjestad

Commonly known by locals as simply “Playa”, Oranjestad is the capital of the beautiful island nation of Aruba. This charming little harbor city is situated on the western end of the island and features a central area lined with palm trees and quaint, Dutch colonial Architecture including colorful gable-topped houses, historical monuments and attractive clock towers. Must-see attractions include the impressive Fort Zoutman, Aruba’s oldest building dating back to 1798; the Willem III Tower, built in 1868; and the Historical Museum, outlining the main events in Aruban history.
