Yasawa Islands

The Yasawa Islands are a spectacular chain of islands in northwest Fiji. Formed from volcanic activity, the islands feature predominantly mountainous landscapes cloaked in a thick layer of lush, tropical vegetation. Add a coastline of idyllic powder white beaches and swaying palm trees and it’s easy to see why these islands have long been a popular favorite. Around 30 resorts are dotted around the 12 major islands in the group. Apart from ubiquitous island pastimes – book reading, hammock snoozing, cocktail sipping – the must-dos of the Yasawas include swimming with manta rays (in season) and a trip out to the mysterious Sawa-i-Lau caves.
