A pristine marine park in Southeastern Sulawesi, Wakatobi is the stuff of travelers’ (and particularly divers’) fantasies. The park is named for its four major islands – Wangi Wangi (the park’s major gateway), Kaledupa, Tomia and Binongko. Considered among the finest dive sites on the planet, its temperate waters are home to a spectacular array of fish and coral species, as well as turtles, dolphins, whales and other sea creatures. Terrestrial habitats include dense rainforests, rolling mountains, mangrove swamps rich in birdlife, and superb sand beaches.
