Sitting in first class sipping our Bloody Mary’s talking about our long awaited trip to Palau, we had a slight mechanical issue. While the situation was
resolved it took a bit of time for the paperwork to be cleared to take off which of course, we lost of our line on the runway. Our flight eventually took off an hour and half late to Honolulu. We were told that our flight to Guam was not going to wait for us despite the fact that there were probably 100 passengers trying to make that connection. So, what to do? Get upset, get angry, sure you could, but what good does that do?

As soon as we landed, we were handed vouchers for taxis, food and hotel. At this point, there was nothing else we could do except, say we could be stuck somewhere far worse than Honolulu for 24 hours! Once checked into the hotel and went and got pedi’s and had a great meal on United Airlines! We will take in a few sights this morning close to the hotel and head back to the airport to try and do it all over again.
Travel is meant to be fun, not stressful. When something does happen, make the best of it and go with the flow. You will not need as much blood pressure meds 😉.
Have a great day and see you in Palau soon!

stress and frustration? Yes, at times it surely does but why not make the best of it when plans do not always go as planned!
