Azores offer four different itineraries per year depending on the month you would like to travel and two of those itineraries depart from Atlantis Dumaguete Resort, allowing for a perfect combination with no extra transfers and no mid-trip interruptions.
Routes that are currently available include:
- Apo Reef and Coron Wrecks – offered on alternating years
- Tubbataha
- Tubbataha to Visayas Transition
- Visayas Safari
- The Ultimate Visayas
- Dumaguete to Puerto Galera
Visayas itineraries begin in late June and run through December from our Dumaguete resort.
State Rooms:
The Azores has seven deluxe staterooms – with double and single berths, a lavatory and hairdryer, private head and shower – and one suite on the top deck. Rooms are serviced daily.
Diving:
Most dives are done from two zodiac tender boats with a short ride to dive sites. Azores’ professional dive team will ensure you get the best from every dive.
The spacious dive deck allows you to gear up in comfort. A roomy three-tier camera table is available for photographers along with a charging station. All divers have their own storage area for dive equipment and there are freshwater showers on the back platform.
The Azores offers a full range of SSI Programs; popular specialties such as Nitrox and Underwater Photography can be easily completed around the dive schedule.
Nitrox is available on all charters. Technical diving and rebreather diving are possible if pre-arranged.
Dining and Drinking:
Atlantis’ boutique restaurants have been rated “world-class” by the Lonely Planet Travel Guide book. Also on the Azores, they are proudly adhering to their principle of only serving freshly “a la minute” prepared meals and snacks all day. The chef on board the Azores will enjoy personally looking after you.
Start the day with the smell of freshly brewed coffee and freshly baked bread. A blend of ripe seasonal fruit juices from Atlantis’ farms will prepare you for your first dive. From hearty to light, “Mom’s soups”, homemade smoked bacon and ham, omelet mixes from mild to spicy, small to giant beef burgers, fresh garden salads, and muesli with yogurt and fruit… to just name a few…
You are to receive some of the best homemade breakfasts! The lunch selection varies between Mongolian Woks, Homemade Pasta, and freshly made Panini to order. Themed evening meals reflect the fine dining you have come to expect from Atlantis’ resort restaurants. ‘Filipino Delights’, the ‘Seafood Dinner, the ‘Carvery Night’, the motto ‘Asian Fusion Cuisine’ and a ‘Best of Four’…
If you are peckish during the day between dives, snacks available include homemade cookies, cakes, fresh fruit, and mouth-watering ‘bites’.
The onboard complimentary open bar includes:
- Fresh Blended Juice, Calamansi (local citrus fruit) Juice, Lime Juice, Ice Tea
- Coffee, Selection of Tea, Milk
- Filtered drinking water, Coke, Coke Zero, Sprite
- San Miguel Beer Pale Pilsner, San Miguel Beer Light
- Tanduay Rum (one of the best in the world)
Entertainment and Amenities:
Enjoy a wide selection of movies or games on the Azores’ PS3 and flat-screen TV or sit back with a book or magazine from the library; an assortment of board games and cards is also available.
Each evening you will be treated to either one of Atlantis’s unique marine life presentations, a picture slide show, or a presentation on your next destination. Besides diving, you can improve your photography skills, snorkel, or take land excursions during your trip.
The Azores features a partially covered sun deck with chase lounges, a complete wet bar, a hot tub, an assortment of sitting areas with tables, a large swim platform with warm freshwater showers, and a boutique for onboard souvenir shopping!
